The MSP Register lists every active UK company registered under the managed IT code at Companies House. 8,211 companies as retrieved on 16 October 2026, with every fact dated. It is independent, run by OurIdea.ai, and it ranks nobody.
How a company gets on it, and off it
Every company comes from the public record. Companies House publishes the whole register once a month, and the register takes that file and keeps every active company under the managed IT code, so a company is never missing because a quota ran out. You do not have to apply.
Managed IT, managed security and IT support companies registered elsewhere in Europe, or under a different code, can ask to be added on the register’s own form.
Leaving takes one email to register@ouridea.ai with the company number and Removal in the subject line. No reason is asked and nothing is asked in return. The register replies within five working days, and the entry goes at the next build, within one calendar month at most.
The Checked mark
Free, earned, and never for sale at any price.
The Checked mark means one thing: the company displays its registered number on its own website, as UK trading disclosure rules require, and the register confirmed it on the date shown. 822 companies carry it.
No Profile or Featured slot buys it, hurries it or changes it. Any listed company can ask for it.
It starts as an outline, when the number is found on the company’s site. It turns solid when the company confirms the entry is theirs by writing from an address on that same domain. A checked entry is also the only kind offered to search engines.
In your own words, with a date
A company that confirms its entry can tell the register where it stands on AI and automation, in one of three answers.
Exploring: using AI inside the business, not selling it yet.
Piloting: running AI or automation work with a few clients.
Offering: a named AI or automation service that clients can buy.
The answer appears on the entry as the company’s own words, with the date, and is not edited or checked. It is not a grade and has no bearing on the Checked mark. Five companies have answered so far.

Featured renews monthly until you cancel by email. If a slot has already gone, the payment is refunded in full within two working days. Paying for a Profile or Featured never moves a page into search results and never changes a register fact.
For MSPs: getting value from your entry
Ask for the check, so your entry carries the mark and is offered to search engines.
Confirm the entry from your own domain, so the mark turns solid with the date you confirmed it.
Tell the register where you stand on AI, so buyers can see your answer in your own words.
Add a Profile if you want your logo, your description and a link to your site on the entry.
Take a Featured slot if you want to be first in one specialism in one region, labelled as paid.
For buyers: finding an MSP
Browse by town, or use the map, to see who is near you. Each entry shows the official facts with the date they were retrieved: name, number, status, age and the accounts filed.
Look for the Checked mark to see which companies display their registered number on their own site, and the solid mark for the ones that have confirmed their entry.

Lists are ordered the same way for every company: confirmed first, then checked, then by name. A Featured entry is a paid position and is labelled on the row.
What it will never do
No rankings, no ratings and no review scores. No Checked mark for sale. No paid placement without a label. Nothing copied from another directory.
